most gps systems will work in MGRS (Military Grid Reference System)
you just need to change the settings in the menu

All of Garmin Outdoor (ie not Nuvi) devices can display MGRS (Military Grid Reference System).

These devices actually display 10 digit, but you can simply hack off the last number of each set to make it 8 digit (10 digit = 1 meter accuracy, 8 digit = 10 meters accuracy)

MGRS is a position format. To change the position format in an eTrex, GPSmap, or any of Garmin’s newer models, goto Main Menu –> Settings –> Units –> Position Format.
