Do I have to have a touchscreen tablet computer to write my own notes on the computer?

I want a tablet PC, but expensive. You can buy cheap software, I can note in my notebook computer on a regular basis?

OMG, I apologize, but I just about peed myself laughing at your post. That’s pretty funny.

But to answer your question, no. If you try using a stylus or pen or whatever on your regular laptop you can seriously scratch it, or worse, damage it beyond repair. You can see what I mean just by pressing your finger gently onto the screen.

But thank you for posting that, that made my day!

    No.

A TabletPC has a special screen that allows “digital ink” to be created. Some are Touchscreen, some use electromagnetic digitizer screens.

A regular laptop does not have the correct screen to allow for this.

TabletPC’s with touchscreens have come down considerably in price. They are often only $100 – $200 more than a comparable laptop.
