Question by **BLAH-BLAH**: How to root HTC EVO or use the Wifi hot spot for free?
I bought the HTC Evo today (7/2/10) i tried to root the phone but I guess they block in their new updates…. Is there another way to use the free wifi hot spot? or root it?

I wouldn’t recommend rooting because it seems to be associated with some bricking of the phones with the latest update. I would wait for Froyo and see what people come up with.
In he meantime, why not try tethering via USB. I do that and it works great. Use EasyTether or PDANet from the Android Market.
