Should I buy an Apple TV or Google TV unit even if the Wii has internet and Netflix?

theroostersname Question : Should I buy an Apple TV or Google TV unit even if the Wii has internet and Netflix ?
The Nintendo Wii already has all the same features and one that I already own. So there is something for me to buy an Apple TV or Google TV? I really do not much care for Apple, but I was wondering if there is no one to get since my Wii can do all the stuff of Apple and Google can devices. Best answer:

I would get the TV or Google Roku, Apple TV has had some problems.

Don’t get Apple anything. They think they still own it even after you pay for and set it up.

If you do not wish to get content from Apple, then don’t get the Apple TV, unless you are Canadian ( in where it supports Canadian Netflix, while Roku yet doesn’t).

I don’t know enough about Google TV yet, but for the price of the Logitech box, I wouldn’t try it yet.

If you have children, yes. If you are wanting to do away with a monthly cable bill, yes. If you are in the market to get a new flat screen, the Google TV should be a consideration. If you are tied in anyway to itunes, it makes sense to get Apple TV, if not, no. If you own an Apple computer, the Apple TV is a superb operational fit. If you want to have more to do with computing over gaming, then Google TV should be the primary choice, then the Apple TV. The Nintendo Wii is entertainment and gaming only.
Finally, the Nintendo Wii cannot do all of the stuff that either unit can do. Apple TV and Google TV can be a hub for your home theater speakers.

    Best.
