On Wednesday, Oct. 7 at Guastavino’s in New York City, Sony hosted a media and VIP event to celebrate the launch of three new VAIO products and the highly-anticipated Windows 7 operating system.
Sony brought the VAIO features of Perform, Innovate, Create and Serve to life through the work of world class, urban artists:
Perform: Cirque Berzerk, cutting edge performance artists, delivered unsurpassed performance like VAIO PCs, centered around the concept of “Touch” alongside the new VAIO L-Series Touch HD PC/TV, a touch screen multi-media hub that puts your TV, Internet and Blu-ray Disc® movies just one touch away.

Innovate: Thomas Pendleton of A&E’s “Tattoo Highway” tattooed a VAIO-inspired design live alongside the world’s lightest high-performance, ultraportable notebook – the incredible new VAIO X-Series.

Create: Zulu Kingz graffiti artist, Damet, created a live mural alongside the new CW Series notebooks inspired by the CW notebook’s five bold new colors.

Serve: A Backstage service bar designed to ensure VAIO owners get the most enjoyment from all their Sony products and gave a first-look at the high-anticipated Windows 7 operating system 7 as well as product demos. Plus DJ Kiss, the hot NY deejay served up her signature mix of sexy, high energy tunes throughout the night.

Sony showcased three new VAIO PC lines: the L, X and CW models:

X Series Notebook: Housed in a lightweight carbon-fiber chassis, the X Series weighs just1.6 pounds (with standard battery) and is just over a half-inch thin– roughly the width of a cell phone.
CW Series Notebook: Colorful New Notebooks Featuring Blu-ray Disc Technology and Windows 7 Operating System. The CW comes in five eye-catching, high-gloss colors: fiery red, poppy pink, icy white, jet black and indigo purple.
