Folks, I suggest not to buy into it too quickly. There will be gadgets like the ipad that are in the works right now which are going to be much better and maybe even cheaper.
Right, everyone is hyped about Apple because Apple has a bunch of fanboys who believe everything that Steve Jobs says is the word of God.
And you’re wrong, Google’s tablet will be a HUGE deal, just as Android was. Even if it’s just in the tech market that people know it by name (like open source) it has a huge effect on people who have no idea they’re even using Google’s tech and policy.
No but if you look at it this way… If some company came out with it. Nobody would care because it’s not a big well known company. Google is a big but they are not known for stuff like this so no one would really care about it. But apple is apple. Apple is the Michael Jordan of basically all the gadgets. Their will always be a Kobe or a Lebron but there will never be a MIchael Jordan. And the iPad is just a personal preference really if you need it or not. I’m getting it and I don’t need it.
Except that Apple didn’t do it first, nor best. Roflmao. I’m glad Apple created the POS iPad because 1) Damages their rep, 2) Brought Google into the game, and they’re going to take Apple’s iPad out and then rape them.

No, the idea behind tablets is incredibly useful. Apple will make it to be known as flawed, because they tried to make an awesome one, which failed. If anyone can pull off an incredible tablet, I’m sure it’s Google with HTC.

apple has always been for the “cool” boys who only use the computer for facebook crap and listen to music/videos, If you are going to carry these “tablets” just get a fucking laptop so you can listen to music AND do your facebook crap AT THE SAME TIME…

the ipad dosent have multitasking which sucks… it dosent make it any better than an ipod touch or iphone its the same but bigger screen. the google tablet has multitasking and idk in my opinion it looks better
It’s actually confirmed that they have introduced their tablet 2 days before Apple introduced theirs. No one seemed to notice, lol.
Tablets aren’t going to be for everybody. It’s really the applications that will drive their popularity or lack thereof. Personally, all I can conceive I’d use it for presently would be to replace a Wacom drawing tablet and to watch larger movies with my getting-older eyes. You’ll be hearing from iPad release date of those folks who bought and dropped them, and unending stories of how the glass scratches too easily, breaks, etc.
I don’t know if this is the general opinion of iPhone/iPod users but I really don’t need multitasking on this device. Regarding the new capabilities of the iPad, e. g. iWork which looked like you could really work with, it may would be useful some times.
No comment on flash, enough tr/f/lash talk on the interwebs.
The A4 is a processor made by Apple (PA Semiconductors) using a ARM platform/architecture.
I’m not saying that Apple has to change anything. They can market however they want, as long as they’re honest about it. Yes, the iPad is relatively inexpensive, and yes, anybody could use it. However, to claim that it is the best browsing experience ever? Really? Even though it doesn’t support Flash or multi-tasking? Also, can you highlight or write notes in the ebooks that you purchase? Add to that the A4 proc is an ARM proc, not Apple, but you won’t hear Apple say that.
Why would or should they do that? Because their sold and still selling so many iPhones and getting a crap load of money out of the Appstore? You can think what you want but from Apples perspective their is no reason to change their marketing strategy. And of course they not invented the tablet computer but imho they made it affordable and usable for nearly everybody.
I’m not going to by one because I don’t have a real use for it but i think a lot of people will.

The whole idea of tablets is incredibly flawd.
Comparing the technical specifications i’d say that Google’s tablet is better, by far.
Tablets have been around for several years now. It’s funny how Apple always seems to jump into a market late but try to play like they invented it. I’m glad they’re doing it because that brings competition, but Apple really needs to work on their overbearing arrogance.
